Why people get culture shock?

At the beginning of their migration, they are quite glad because of the statements they have heard from their ancestors like; you’ll earn a lot of money over there, life will be so easy for you and your family, etc. We may call this stage a “Honeymoon period”. In this period they are exceptionally passionate about their new life, a new beginning, and the first step towards their own future. They spend the money they got with them, visit new places, take photos and post them to show people how happy their life has become.

However after some days when they open their gaze at and see nobody friendly, they started to be anxious and that’s when they started to think to go back to their civilization. That’s the most difficult time for them to face. This period is called the “frustration period”. It’s like a trial from “Nature” that you’re competent in handling the situation or not. Primarily people give up and take a flight back to home. They embarrass their family and themselves too by coming back empty-handed. The other side of this situation is that people face this time and get through it. They try to indulge themselves in the new culture. The reason that motivates them to stay varies from people to people.

Sometimes people are not emotionally strong, they fear loneliness. They are so fastened to their family members that they can’t prevail without them. Most of the people get sick because of these uncertainties and their family permits them to come back. An additional reason that prompts culture shock could be the erroneous expectations of the person. His/Her temperament towards the current civilization abruptly changes when these expectations doesn’t fulfill.

One should be sharp enough to deal with acidity of life and that’s when the success bangs the door. Find the incentive due to which you’re here, that’s your biggest inspiration. Learn to survive unaided.
