The People Behind Our Phones

We want to start introducing some of the wonderful people who we work with very closely every day, mostly from the other side of the world, to bring the Light Phone to life. They are incredibly talented, humble, and a joy to collaborate with. Their passion for their respective craft is genuine and seriously inspiring. We couldn’t build our phone without them.

“I saw your video on youtube and immediately thought, this is really cool. It is different from any of the other phones I have worked on. I went to my supervisor and asked to be reassigned to the team that would work with you guys. It has been such fun working on this project. Challenging too, yes, so small a phone. (laughs)”

Boss works on the Foxconn team in Taiwan, he is the lead engineer responsible for overseeing the radio frequency of the Light Phone. He has grown up in Taiwan his whole life about an hour or so train ride from Taipei where he currently lives. He’s been a pleasure to get to know. Boss is very curious about the music from the U.S., he likes the Ramones and Oasis, and he takes the time to show us his favorite spots around the Night Market in Taipei when we are looking for something good to eat.
