My experience as a Web Developer Intern @LetsGrowMore October 2021

Hello everyone! This article is about my experience as a Web Developer Intern at Let’s Grow More (LGM) through their Virtual Internship Program (LGMVIP 2021). This program was one month long and I learned a lot of new skills.

As a Web Developer Intern, I had to complete at least two tasks out of the three listed tasks. The tasks were as follows:-
— Beginner Level Task:- Create a Single Page Website using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
— Intermediate Level Task:- Create a simple Web Application using Create-React-App. The application had to fetch an API link in order to display the user data.
— Advanced Level Task:- Student Result Management System using HTML, CSS, JavaScript for FrontEnd and PHP and MySQL for BackEnd.

I successfully completed the first two tasks and got to learn a lot throughout the process.

Task 1 — Single Page Website

This application, a single-page website called “Zippy” was created using basic HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript. The website is also mobile responsive. Overall, it was a good experience to design the webpage according to a predefined design and add extra stuff to it in order to get an immersive experience.

Task 2 — Simple React Application

fdThis web app was created using ReactJS. React useState Hook was used for the state changes that occurred in the application. We were provided an API link that contained JSON objects with user information(first name, last name, and email id). After fetching the data from API we were required to show the data in the form of a User Card grid layout. The application is also responsive. Thus, this task gave me an insight into how to use API’s in React and it was the perfect time for me to understand more about React through this task.

I got to learn and polish my skills aptly during this internship program. I had enough time to pursue my University courses all the while completing the internship. The Mentors helped me in every possible way they could. Thus, it was a great opportunity to learn and explore technologies.
