Being open with others is one thing, but being open with yourself is a big step.

This process is necessary for building one’s true truth.

It’s not always easy, but it’s important for personal growth and self discovery.

2 Corinthians 5:17

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!”

Additional context:

Opening up to others can be a vulnerable and scary experience. It requires us to let down our guards and reveal our true selves, flaws and all. This can be a major struggle when we have built up walls and defenses to protect ourselves from being judged by others. But opening up to others is just the first step. The truly brave and transformative step is opening up to ourselves.

Being vulnerable with ourselves means confronting our deepest fears, insecurities, and doubts. It means tearing down the lies we have told ourselves and others, and facing the truth about who we are and what we believe. This process can be painful, but it is necessary for personal growth and self-discovery.

By being honest with ourselves, we can begin to build our true truth and discover our authentic selves. The Bible reminds us that this process of transformation is possible through faith in Christ — 2 Corinthians 5:17, Through our faith in Christ, we can leave behind our old ways of thinking and being and embrace a new, authentic version of ourselves.
