I’ve been travelling two hours each way, on a good day, to work for more than 8 years now. My life was nearly taken by one of the accidents I’ve been in. I now rely on the following rules of thumb. I’ll say them out loud each time I use them to ‘acknowledge’ them: If there’s an obstacle in front of you, then THERE IS AN OBSTACLE (acknowledge?) If there’s no way around the obstacle, then THERE IS NO WAY AROUND (acknowledge?)
