Austrian aerial warfare analyst and historian. Following a career in the worldwide transportation business – during which I've established a network of contacts in the Middle East and Africa – moved into narrow-focus analysis and writing on small, little-known air forces and conflicts, about which he has collected extensive archives. This has resulted in specialisation in Middle Eastern, African and Asian air forces. Between more than 50 books and over 1,000 articles, I have authored and co-authored so far are such works like:
- operational history of several Soviet-designed fighter-types (for example: MiG-23 in the Middle East), and
- French-designed fighter-types (for example: Iraqi Mirages), and
- an operational history of the Russian Air-Space Force (VKS) at war in Syria, in period 2015-2017.
Since 2017, I'm working as editor of the five @War book-series. A list of my books published by Helion can be found here.
