At least according to one well-known leaker, Intel’s Arc discrete graphics cards may soon be discontinued.
According to renowned YouTuber Moore’s Law is Dead (MLID), Intel insiders generally believe that Arc GPUs, which debuted this year with Alchemist versions, will not last for very long.
In more detail, MLID cites an executive-level source who fairly bluntly asserts that Arc is “done” and another source who only states that Intel is discontinuing its Arc discrete efforts.
That is incredibly evident, but we must always keep in mind that this is only a rumor spreading via the grapevine, so we must proceed with utmost caution. It’s not the news that anyone wants to hear, not even MLID himself, as he makes plain in the video’s introduction.
